I upped the contrast, got rid of the projector overlay and voila - it works. Wasnt quite as good looking as it was originally, but obviously gotta make a few sacrifices if i want it to actually be viewable. Cheers for the help! YouTube - It began in Manchester...

you have to laugh. It was only £20, and i will get it working. I see it as a learning process. While I am on, gonna get a good HD Video Camera, approx. £500 -£750, any one point me in the right direction. Looked at a few but would value some advice from some people who actually use and have some experience of them Thanks again in advance Cheers Jim (sandancer)

Looking for software.
Published (2008-11-20 13:46:00)
Thats what I do. I dont know if theres a better way or not? The problem I run into is if there is a camera movement, its hard to sync it up with the rpf file. If you find a way of instead composing the video in maya I would love to know about it. But for now I have been rendering the rpfs to a higher resolution than my composition and using after effects track motion to make the rpf follow the camera movements.

Awesome stuff - so it's possible to do it with the software I already have? That's good. Would I complete the animation in Maya, and then pretty much act as if it's a greenscreened layer, and manipulate it into place? Thanks!

It was given to me by a Thai police officer. I assumed he wasn't up to speed on video software. He just sent it to me because I run a few websites and he thinks I'm "good with computer".

Thanks for your input. but... I cleaned the head, nothing changed. Yes I did shoot the footage using this Cam. I also tried a different port, nothing. I also tried capturing after forwarding the tape without success. De-fragmenting the hard-drive is not applicable, it`s brand new..(virgin). I cannot see anything on screen while the tape is playing... I even bought two new 24" screens.............

I'm not sure if this is the right thread or not but here goes: I use an Everio CCD camera and it saves videos as Mpegs, I only have windows movie maker as a video editting software, but unfortunately, WMM does not take mpegs, is there a way I can make it take mpegs, or preferrably a watermark-free converter?

Hey all. I output a QT movie file in 720x480, looked correct when played back. Then I needed to export it through Sorenson Squeeze and it needed to be MPEG-2 video and audio. However, the output looks filmy. When people move, it looks as if it might not be the correct frame rate, but it is. Here are the settings I am using : http://www.isarapix.org/pix0/1227038747.png Please let me ...

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, and I have a question. I saw an effect in a movie, and I'm really interested in how it was done. I don't even know how to describe it, so I'll tell you what I saw. It was a ski movie, and there was a shot of a jump with the mountains in the background, and right as the skier went off the jump, it freeze framed, except it looked like the the background...
