i thought digital voice was cheaper? expecially since you pay less taxes. I went online to compare the normal prices and it is the same between digital voice and freedom essentials

That wasn't Verizon's fault. The WSOP final was scheduled for 2 hours according to the guide. YOur recording set up did EXACTLY what you told it to do...record that show in that time slot. Since the show went longer than the time slot the lack of recording was not the fault of Verizon. BTW, that was not a live show. You could have known the winner the night before since they actually played at 10pm Monday night. :-)

Service issues - Verizon Community
Published (2009-11-25 14:30:00)
My wife upgraded to an LG EnvTouch this week. So far nothing has worked on the phone (nothing wrong with the phone) correctly without going through all kinds of calls. Key items... 1. The local office said (but didn't) they configured the phone for the services that we have had on our account for some time. No email, no VZ Nav. and so on. Made the trip back into the local office (live 15 miles away) and asked questions and showed staff...

Which virus did it find? Which file was infected? If you go to "View Logs" you can find this information. It might be helpful if you copy and paste any other useful information.

Apparently, it's impossible for me to upgrade just my internet service without upgrading my phone service as well? I've been paying $19.99 for just 768down/128 upload for years now and still I'm not "allowed" to upgrade my internet service. I'm just wondering if this is true. I've been at Verizon for years now, but I swear each day I inch closer to Optimum...

Short answer is no. Digital Voice runs on the network and needs to be hooked up differently than the essentials and would take another tech to come out to make the switch. It also costs more. Besides that, normally you lose any special pricing you get when you make changes to your plan.

Hi   I totally agree with you. I bought another HD TV and for the moment I am using only an HD Antenna. I would want to be able to have an HD receiver for less than $9.99. I was going may be upgrade another tv  to HD too.   I hope Verizon is going to change this.   Actually, I am going to contact them and see. In the same time, I am contacting Brighthouse Networks too
