Could Your Dog Be a Blood Donor? At the dog park today, I picked up a pamphlet from a veterinary blood bank that's about 1/2 hour from us. We're going to take Shiva to get tested this week. If they like his blood, he can donate every eight weeks. Does anyone else do this?

rat update! we haven't found her a larger cage yet, but she now has toys and a hiding spot. she's already warming up to us, and almost taking food from our hands. my mom gave her a little piece of avacado last night and she LOVED it! (i looked and didnt' find anything that said she couldn't have it). only a very small piece since its such a rich food. she sniffs at my fingers now when i ...

I know a while back there was a discussion here about bloat but can't remember where it was. Anyway, I bought one of these for the weim/pit mix who would suck down his food like a Hoover vacuum. Pricey, but it works really well. http://www.brake-fast.net/

I am very psyched! My husband and I will be leaving tomorrow and staying at a vegan bed & breakfast called Gingercat Bed/Breakfast for 3 days. It's only a few minutes away from Farm Sanctuary! Then... we'll be going to stay at one of the cabins at Farm Sanctuary for 4 nights!! I am SO excited!!!!!!
