I did read it and really enjoyed it. It's quite convincing in its barefoot theories, though a little removed from most people's
realities.
But yeah, I was really pleased to learn so much more about Jurek. I didn't even know he was in the book when I picked it up!

It makes sense to me. I find when running a familiar route checking the watch and seeing I'm at a particular landmark later than usual (or earlier than usual) has a detrimental effect. Without that distraction I can focus better on just giving
best effort.

Yes. When you have a virus infection in your body there's really nothing good that come out of training, rather the opposite where you risk
spreading the virus to your heart muscles which can lead to several months of no training, or in the worst cases death. Perfectly healthy, fit and strong people have died from this, so please avoid this. I have friends who got away with "just" getting really ...

Unfortunately not. It's a shame really, I'd definitely like to have a crack at some mile races. There seem to be loads of 5Ks
starting up though, which is a good thing.

I'm planning on doing it again this year for vegan runners (it's on 13th December). Would be nice to get a team again. Runner - if you fancy that you are
welcome to stay at mine. I could get tickets for the Liverpool v Arsenal game the day before.

I probably run 5k in about 20-22 mins. For me shorter distances like 10k are diicult, and not much faster than 10k/HM.
For improving your speed I've got 3 suggestions:
1 - Run intervals
2 - Run some more intervals
3 - Keep running intervals
4 - Go back and run some more intervals.
OK, that's 4. Run 500m or 1k as fast as you can, even pace over the distance. Maybe...
