Most bike clothes manufacturer have long tights for use during the winter, both with and without a windproof layer. I use Endura tights which works perfectly during our winters (down to -20C). _________________ --- more... ---

Arm / leg warmers are usually a fairly tight fit, so you'd usually wear them straight against the skin. They are good in spring or autumn, where you can wear a short sleeve jersey, and put on the arm warmers if it gets cold. So it can be good to have reflective bits on them (though I don't think my arm warmers have any reflective bits). I don't think arm warmers would fit over a long-sleeve jersey very well. They might fit under...

Get some fast carbs and a bit of protein down your neck straight after your ride. Cold shower on the legs helps, too

I think protein was the key. I did 25 miles last night and felt strong as an ox. Must have been those soya chunks I cooked up.

Yeah I find potato's and chips are good for energy, or a good feed of tofu and greens. If legs sore I just do an easy 1hr30 ride next day and just spin the legs, which sees to help _________________ reality is for those with no imagination

I am liking the recovery pudding from thrive book. Tastes yummy. No idea if its working but legs are feeling OK after many days on the go bike training so maybe it is!

I buy most of my cycle clothing from either wiggle or crc when it's on offer. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Offers.aspx http://www.wiggle.co.uk/d/PriceDrop/12/1/1/ It's generally end of line stuff with a limited range of sizes or colours so you might have to keep checking back until they've got something in the size and colour you want. _________________ Gray Wolf ( ...

I'm not that familiar with deraileurs, but a google search for "shimano acera manual" turned up this page which has then got links to an exploded diagram and the fitting and adjustment instructions . If it's only the lowest gear/largest sprocket that wont engage properly, I would suspect it's the travel adjustment, #3 under "Cable securing and stroke adjustment". If it doesn't ...

I mean, it comes in a squeeze bottle, is relatively inexpensive, is all low-glycemic sugar, and tastes a hell of a lot better than any gel out there right now. Seems to be stable at warm temperatures, too. True, no caffeine, carnitine, or electrolytes (a minute amount of potassium), but you could get that from some Hammer powder in your water bottle. Has anyone ever considered this? I swigged ...

The most important thing is fit, so I would say go for that above anything else. Go to a good shop that will focus on that first and has a clue about setting you up for the aero position and then listen to what they say. Don't get too caught up in frame material or brand (unless there is something you really want, umm, just cuz you want it! ). The biggest benefit of a TT frame is allowing ...

Don't know if I'm the right person to reply to this, but as always I'm wary about the weight here. 3.3kg for the frame, and it's built for 140mm front and rear, which means that unless you spend a load of cash you'll end up with a quite heavy bike. If that's not a problem then go for it, Commencal make great frames and I've only heard good things about the Meta 5.5 One thing to consider ...

I'd buy one. Personally I'd prefer a full zip, but either is fine. Race cut is preferable, but I do understand if there's a demand for a lose fit one. The colours and design sounds good.
