If the engine is in the car you may need torx bits to remove the plenums for access. Bolts on the manifolds are 13/17/24 mm. But the downpipes could have been repalced with
nuts and bolts at anyones guess. Take a full tool box and then your laughing

the idle
control valve would be my first guess,it sit's on top of the plenum's at the back of the engine, take it off and use carb cleaner to clean it out

the proper tools 30 quid, but mine where so tight it ripped the thread off
it,i just used the cups that came with it and banged it out with a hammer
and the much needed help of a vxon member, your better off getting them
pressed out tbh, while the whole arms off the car do the big bushes at the
front of the arm as their bound to be goosed too

IIRC, the bulb connectors for the front lights will need changing too.

the first problem is the thermostat, the second is probably a
abs sensor,you
need to get a code read to see what is wrong with the engine and also which
abs sensor is at fault

Hi,
Just came across a Priming Tool on Sealey Tools Website which looks as if it will connect directly to a Vectra Fuel Filter:-
Part No VS055 Application for
Vauxhall 2.0Di and 2.2Di
Promo price £20.64.
I would attach the picture but not sure how to do it.
Good luck.

I too have the same problem, it started a few months ago, the engine management light came on and the
fuel consumption dropped from an average 34mpg to 18mpg on a bad day, (I saw it return a 5mpg when I decided to boot it hard)
I left it for ages but it never corrected and when they started putting fuel prices up again i really stated feeling it , so that was my kick to get it checked,
The EML...
