height="100%"> quote: Originally posted by Thedonkeycentrehalf I've done the BA run into Tampa a couple of times (albeit in Economy) and I find it much more preferable to the hassle of MCO . In some respects it's a shame VA don't swap one of the MCO runs for TPA instead as I'm sure their VH and other tour operators would put plenty of gulf coast business their way. I have done the route in the past and you are...

Office or WC on 747??
Published (2009-10-30 17:42:00)
height="100%"> Thanks a bunch! It's a great seat if you fly economy and it's the office behind. Glad it's still around. Feels slightly exclusive as it's seperate from the main bulk. AND most importantly you're first off for US immigration. (I have been at the back and it took 1.5 hours at LAS !! as we were last off)

height="100%"> quote: Originally posted by Decker Wel assuming it's a Z the fare rules say quote: BEFORE DEPARTURE OF THE OUTBOUND JOURNEY PRIOR TO DEPARTURE OF THE ORIGINAL SCHEDULED FLIGHT - MAY BE USED AS CREDIT TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF A BU/BR FARE TYPE AT A CHARGE OF GBP120 - REPRICE USING CURRENT FARES. So you might be able to change with a fee of £120 per pax assuming they have availability. Call the UC line. Hmmm but...

height="100%"> It's definately an office on the 4 (or 5) aircraft that have them. The office is pretty small in reality, I'm not sure that it would be big enough to be converted into a WC.

height="100%"> Are air fares excluded from UK distance selling rules? If not, then you could argue you have a 7 day cooling off period. Regards

However the airport cannot handle Jumbos....I know because I landed their once on a VA plane due to storms and they had no way of getting us off easily Sunshine Unless of course you are the Tampa Bay Bucanneers buns

height="100%"> quote: Originally posted by sickbag ....On a serious note, you just have to be patient and keep trying in the hope you get thru to someone in VS with a bit of common sense. I don't think common sense has got anything to do with it. What dpscrest is looking for is a someone with enough compassion and/or authority to break the rules. Unless the distance selling regs can be used. If he is determined to go to the...

height="100%"> There's nothing wrong with the BA product, and for that much saving, I'd probably go with BA . I'm trying BA out again in March as it was so much cheaper. The only downside for me is the seat selection process. If I was travelling with someone else I wouldn't mind so much as I would at least know someone at one side of me. There are pros and cons of both BA and VS ,...

height="100%"> Sunshine I know exactly where you are coming from here As you know Mrs Buns and I share your love of the Gulf coast and all too frequently nowdays, the deals to MCO simply are not there. height="100%"> I assume you mean Miles & Money? Not heard of a F&F ticket on Virgin. Tried this in the past with no success. The ticket desk can't work out the base fare, so the only way they could deal with it was suggest throwing it away and buying a new ticket. The only way I've seen someone on a M&M fare get an upgrade is an involuntary one, just because they had status; and nothing ...
