If it's a 1995 model, it's definitely not OBD-II and doesn't have a motorized throttle body to calibrate. -Uwe-

Actually Teves was bought by ITT in 1967, which then got bought by Continental. So technically it's a Conti unit.

That's pretty funny. Ross-Tech gives you all the interface you will need. Stop ******* around and finding reasons not to spend the money and just get a real one. No finger pointing at Ross Tech for one's own ignorance. You can get a used one reasonable enough and still get your money back out of it down the road. Beside that, "This Is The VAG-COM Forum, NOT The Generic OBD-II P-Codes Forum" is posted out in the front page...

This is a 2002 Audi A4 and the passenger door doesn't lock properly for some reason, not with key or remote. I was told that the VagCom could fix this. Please let me know. Thanks!

Hey Jiggs You have your dates a little screwed up there. I have had the first Vag-Com interfaces and they sure didn't start in 1992. A 1552 wasn't even in my hands until 1993 and I was the first Tech in the USA with it. You have a guilty conscience? This is a the most stupid post I have seen yet lately. I think I hear you sweating. Of Course's its not genuine, you dope. Jack

Your scan only has 1 fault. It looks as if several control modules are missing from the scan. What version of Vag-Com do you have? Edit: You have 1G selected. Try 1J and hit copy, paste the entire result here.

There is no recoding that would allow you to get rid of EDL and/or ASR, there wasn't for MK20, there wasn't for MK60, there wasn't for MK60AT and there is none for MK60EC1. What people have experienced with recoding the old MK20s and some early MK60s was that the coding they entered was so fracked up that the ECU went totally out of line when it comes to characteristics so that the mentioned ...

Sorry, just found the Throttle Body Aligment procedure: http://forums. vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1210265 Only one clarifying question: my Golf has a cable throttle and the controller uses the KW1281 protocol. I assume I should use the cable throttle procedure? Thanks.

Sorry to inform you of the following. E-Bay cables are notorious for failure to operate as advertised. Please contact the Tech Support folks that sold you the cable.

Hi Can you post an autoscan , or at least your ECU part number, I can check if you need the update or have been updated. If they already pulled the codes I see no problem with them telling you the codes. If memory serves right you have 8 years, 130 000km warranty on those cats.
