Don't sit there and call somebody else a troll when we ALL know who the biggest one in this thread is. When a mod is calling somebody a troll you know that it has gone on too long. Good luck with your new Droid, let's hope that nothing goes wrong with it.

Quote, originally posted by jerk » Oh, the display on the Droid is nice (though it was overcast and raining, so I couldn't test its performance in sunlight), noticeably better than the iPhone when viewing something like Google Maps. One thing I'm curious about is text size. When the Palm Pre was released, with its higher-density screen, I noticed that everything just looked smaller and harder to read than the iPhone. I...

Gotta be careful! LOL Most likely you'll never make it to retention unless you're threatening to cancel. If you just call, be friendly, and get a decent CSR,...

If you just call, be friendly, and get a decent CSR, they'll put you on hold and get permission to give you an early upgrade. You won't get your $50 discount for NE2, but you'll get the 2 year contract price. I know from experience. Well, that's cool then

nesoid/snesoid -- nes/snes emulation. $3.49 each. Updated for 2.0, and seem to work very well. Load roms in .zip (.nes/.snes inside) format and play away! weather channel -- don't know if this is better than weatherbug, but it works well and after what seemed like some update problems at first, it's been running flawlessly since friday night. I use zipcode so I can disable GPS Advanced task killer free -- does what it says. like...

Oh I can see where this thing can be useful but one guy commented "I'd buy this in a flash for $800 without blinking" I can easily see this thing costing more and not sure how the average student can charge $800+ on their student mastercard. It's funny how M$ made this but has Apple quality written all over it.

played with the driod this weekend...it was ok...I wasn't blown away or anything...quite frankly, I found it to be maybe a little too complex...I guess maybe it would just take some getting used to since I am familiar with the iphone...anyway, good to see some competition out there...maybe this will force apple to some some pretty awesome stuff with the next iphone

I purchased my old XV6800 on eBay, and when I went to activate it online, it wouldn't let me continue with the activation process unless I selected a data plan. That being said, I've heard that if you call them and explain that you didn't buy it through them, depending on who you get on the phone, they may activate it for you without a data plan.

nokia's best devices tend to be a little pricey, that's why a US carrier taking on the N900 is such a big deal! it will cost substantially less subsidized under a tmobile contract.... tmobile will be making some big announcements on September 23rd, so we'll see.... check this maemo vid.... http://maemo.nokia.com/# and a couple of others.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...#t=58 http...

Anyone know what kind PC/Mac connectivity this thing will have? They definitely need to have something better than the crapware Motorola and Verizon have had for their phones in the past if they want to be better than iPhone.

Do you have any other options? I can only comment on the Lotus, I saw it and it looks rather flimsy. Not a phone I would recommend to anyone. And most candy bar phones have a one button lock option so dont worry about pocket dialing.

The issue with me is that none of the supplied ear buds came close to fitting. They aren't just 3 sizes of round, but oddly shaped.
