Frusterating Disc Brake Issue

I think the break in factor is responsible for the squeak, but the vibration under firm back brake pressure causes the exact same vibration that occured with my old brakes. It's hardly ever wet in new mexico, but I'm currently going to school at Cal Poly in SLO, and it's pretty dry here too.

Is that an Alien frame? If so, how do you like it? How does it compare to any other track bikes you've ridden? My bro has been considering getting one to replace his SE Lager. Oh, oh...look at this...a spare key for a Volkswagen Scirocco...they don't even make those any more! They don't even make that car anymore!! Whose keys could these possibly be?

Thoughts to share on new model...
Published (2008-11-19 23:34:00)
I'm sure most of us have noticed that in the last month, everything seems to have gone down in price and value. Now when I was talking with a few LBS workers/owners recently, about a month and a half or so ago, I was finding out the prices of bicycles where going up this coming year, by $100 or more on some models with no changes/upgrades from last year. Price increases due to the expense of fuel, metal, rubber, shipping, etc. Now...

I found this on CNN today. I know there was a belt-driven thread a while back, but I couldn't find it. http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/1....html I suppose it would be okay for the masses as a commuter bike. Since I don't commute on my bike, I'll stick with what I got. Life's too short to be a dress rehearsal.

I've got four or five pairs of Sugoi RS bib shorts. In my experience, these are the best value in high-quality bib shorts. I have various other manufacturer's shorts as well, but they are rarely used outside of emergenicies as the Sugois will get me through most 24h races and multi-day events. I liked the Sugoi bibs so much I have now added some Sugoi Firewall 220 bib tights (with chamois) ...

I have a 2008 rockhopper pro, it came with juicy 3s but I hated them because of the low power, a nasty vibration, and the groan from the rear. I upgraded to shimano xts recently which are definitely much more powerful but I still have the shrill squeak and a terrible vibration through the rear portion of the frame. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
