We're doing pretty good so far. I remember my 24v put down barely 180whp 190tq with chip intake exhaust. Of course it did have like 180tq at 2000rpm lol! Then again a 1.8t puts down like 230tq with those same mods Modified by kungfoojesus at 6:09 AM 11-7-2009

how much is your dealer going to charge for the installation? i'd recommend going to a reputable aftermarket shop, it's a very straight-forward job. will probably save you quite a bit of $$ going elsewhere than the stealership.

Common Issues

When I turn the key it doesnt crank it... The starter fires like a machine gun and the cabin lights go dark... Is something being grounded or is there not enough juice in the battery? Also, took out spark plugs and vacuumed up water and whatever else was in there.. No metal in cylinder. Is battery dead or something. Modified by AcidBlaze at 10:49 AM 11-8-2009

If you don't drive your car for 30 sec or so after startup, engine wear will be minimal.

I'd say it's probably just part of the start up noises (SAI, etc) and is just louder now with none of the sound dampening from the stock box. Do you like the intake?

your clutch is gone, get a new one. they typically last 100k miles, mixed driving. can last like 200k if u drive like a grandma or all highway... anyway, get a new clutch installed at a reputable shop. don't take it to the dealership they charge way too much.
