thinking about nos

i'm not looking to make big power, just the minimum shot that can run reliably. i don't want to do a single nozzle setup because i'm afraid of a single cylinder burning up or crank bending. i ran this juice on my 24v for a long time before FI and didn't have any problems, other than changing a LOT of plugs.

Timing Chain Help
Published (2009-11-30 21:17:00)
For what it's worth: Consumer Reports 2009 Buying Guide shows the 5 cyl. Jetta's engine (which includes timing chains and belts) with "excellent" reliability for the 2006 & 2007 model year. The 2005.5 "only" gets a "very good" rating for engine reliabilty. This reliability rating is gathered from actual owners, so granted there very well could be a few problem due to neglect or an occasional lemon,...

Like I said I'm paying $11.50 for oem nuts and gasket from GAP and if I need studs they can be had for $22.22 over at ECS making it a total savings of $16.30 As Joel mentioned above, Eurojet recently started including hardware in with their setups, but we haven't gotten a chance to pull...

Hey Arin, I was wondering if I would be able to talk to one of your engineers on the phone. If I need to leave my car there then I need to bring someone with me so I would have a ride back home.

(rentable lifts and every tool you could need and a few you don't) The one thing I don't have is time. I really wanted this on for the last drag race of the season and maybe break a few records. Oh well down season is like 3 months here.

I've been using the Castrol from the dealer for some time now (I have a friend who works at a dealer, so dirt cheap changes!!!) but I'm a huge fan of Pentosin Oils... I ran it in my mk3 GTI, my mk4 Jetta, my wife's NB, and will in my 2.5 when my warranty is up. I just do them at the dealer for the service records, and killer price.

I doubt anyone has had both Unitronic and C2. Just wait for C2. I'm gonna switch over as soon as they get a dealer set up in northern california. Their intensive involvement in the 2.5l isn't matched by any other company.

eurojets is $500?? You know know have to run their DP as the stock cat doesn't fit. I think it's more like $799. The only person who I know running the eurojet is thegreyt. And he loves it.

Stage II is just a 'testpipe/high flow cat' program and not a completely new recalibration. I see you are in Ga, how far are you from Auburn? If the header solution you choose is rather common, and you have a healthy car, we could write upgrade software if you donated your vehicle. I'm sure everyone out there would love you for that and, technically, since it would be written on your car you ...

Well given that the vacuum pump is run by the intermediate sprocket of the timing chain I'd say that's a distinct possibility. Still it's looks like a PITA to get to, might have to partially remove the engine but I'm not sure.

only very high compression motors (way higher than you can run on pump gas) and forced induction motors benefit from water/meth and water injection systems.
