CIS-e to OBDI conversion questions

I'm assuming you mean Digi I, or do you mean CIS-Motronic (I'm not sure which is OBD I) but for Digi (the one with electronic injectors) you'll need the airflow metering box

Well my ground looks like ****. It is uncovered from the battery to the frame, and from there it is covered but looks burnt where it connects to the block. My positive cables look new. Is the stock ground uncovered copper wire? It looks like it was never covered? Also I noticed where my ground connects to block there is another connector that has nothing there. I also noticed 3 wires right above the ground area not plugged into anything....

put the money towards cams or aftermarket management or suspension or sticky tires instead, those are all very noticable improvement areas for the money

The cam pully is on the cylinder head, the timing belt turns it which turns the cams. Have you removed the timing cover yet?

you've got a 9A block if it's from a later 16v which is a common upgrade. the hot set up is to still use your 1.8 head. almost everything is the same except of course the head gasket. you have to use the correct 2.0 head gasket. you can keep the same tranny & clutch and basically everytthing else provided you have a 9A and not an ABA which i'm not familiar with. but if it came out of a ...

If there's zero compression then it's likely that the head gaskets went between 3 and 4.

Kind of vauge... what kind of sound? where is it coming from? Is the cam turning as you crank it over? (if you are by yourself, just look to see if the cam timing mark moved when you crank it) Pull the timing cover plug off the tranny and see if the motor is turning when you crank it.

Meter from the ECU harness to the Injector harness, check to see if the wires are broken. You said you swapped different ECU's? So it must be the wiring.
