Welcome to the consumer's market: For anything less than $200, you can forget about performance. Just go and test out at Challenger or SLS 6th floor and hoot whatever you like.

It's always like that one mah. First a good company with good product (with or without good sales) gets taken over by a bigger company, but the bigger company lousy in future development, finally the good old brand dies off. But for this case, Creative's been using Cambridge Soundworks' drivers in a huge majority of their previous speakers including i-Trigues and T20/40, the entire company is now operating under Creative brand....

They got lots of sayings and commandmants in there. Mostly spread by the staff to the customers who in turn evangelize other people. I do go there to check out stuff or buy minor stuff but I do not participate in the chatting as much. Once I got lectured on how I should buy audio stuff and about prices etc.. then the guy asked if I was still schooling and stuff talking to me like I was a kid LOL... I know I look young but I am over 30 years...

Altec Lansin ATP3. 2nd hand is $35 - $40? BESTEST multimedia 2.1, to me~ The rest just doesn't have much significant audible difference. Save up for better value upgrades.

Guys.... guess what.... I went straight to SLS and purchase my very own AC Ryan HD media player... Priced @ $249... I was left speechless with mouth open and drooling with saliva... After 3 bloody years of torment.. i finally found my dream.... It played files after files perfectly and beautifully on my 50".... I simply connected thru the given HDMI cable and power adapter, plug in my 4GB DUCATI SanDisk USB filled with different file...

If you're worried about the rear-facing bass port, you can try KRK Rokit 5, it's ~$500 @ Sinamex last time I checked. It has a "hi-fi" type of sound so probably good for trance. Go and listen, the boss very friendly de. Prices also not bad. BTW it's supposed to be a monitoring speaker so designed to be placed close to wall, at Sinamex it is placed next to wall so there. you have to define what is good first. go down to stereo or jaben. Speak to the staff on your preference and they'll help you with it.

How many inputs does your DAC allow? If it's more than 1, you can try this. Wadia Digital 170i iPod Dock Note it supports S/PDIF out via coax to your DAC and composite as well as S-video to your TV/receiver. There should be a dealer in SG, try searching around. Price not sure.

been reading about this for a week. Nice little package but from the info I gather online, the headphone stage doesnt go through the tube. Minor shortcomings aside, its quite cool at that price. The internal shots I found on head-fi.
