I have update my VPS server from fedora 7 to fedora 11, and wish to finish this process in couple of minutes. but the result quite made me lost. The
network interface can not start and said
"Bringing up interface eth0: Error, some other host already uses address 209.40.xxx.xxx"

I then resinstalled the system with fedora 10 and centos 5.3. but the ...

hi. i experience this as well. I have tweaked my php/mysql the best I can but since my slowdowns usually coincide with high real time I accepted this was a problem with disk i/o. It's to be expected when link 1-3 is placed together and it uses a raid 5. it would be better if they update the link 3's to
raid 10 which is in line with most competitvers and isolated from people using link 1-2 ...

Network administrators have blocked a massive DDoS attack, which overloaded one of our routers, knocking a rack of Xen hosts offline. Problem has now been resolved by blocking all access to the target host.

My
VPS was down for 1.5 hours and had a few issues when it came up and was still have resource issues (lots of process stuck in IO wait) for hours - hit 25% in CPU wait at 1:10AM. /dev/null's permissions were also changed upon the reboot.
It would be great to get a detailed explanation for the outage and why the backup power failed again, as it did 7 months ago. Is the backup system tested (...

It appears as though our SA's bounced the blog's
virtual environment but Apache failed to start automatically - thank you for the heads-up (everything should be back in working order at this point).

Have you tried contacting the site that you're trying to connect to?
My interpretation of the error is that you're probably on their block list. Try again after 24 hours, failing which contact them and ask them.
