Our OS templates have been updated and the centos-5 template will include CentOS 5.4 - wouldn't recommend manually updating with yum (particularly for OpenVZ).

Welcome to vpslink btw First of all a link1 will be a bit low for what you are wanting from the questions below, 1. Where should i upload the files? - This depends what you are using, usually if its apache then you would use SCP and upload it to /var/www/ (this is the default location usually) 2. Can i install Cpanel on my own. - Webmin or something similar yes..but the low memory ...

I found the solution at www-linuxquestions-org/questions/fedora-35/prob-w ith-yum-errno-1-metadata-file-does-not-match-check sum-trying-other-mirro-462093/ (I am copying the URL to respect their hardwork) this is the solution (I applied this and worked for me) "vi /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/fastestmirror.conf" and set "enable=0"
