I wouldn't mind getting a few more frames in some of my games, but it seems that some of my games take forever and a day to eitherr load up or shut down, and others I talk to say that it closes down right away. Is this due to my only 1GB of RAM now?

main question, what kinda frame rates do you see in FS? and are you happy with those frame rates? thatd be the main question i'd ask anyone wanting to upgrade. the frames i get may not be the type of frame rates you prefer/would like. if your happy with the current setup, save your money, if it aint broke, spend it on something else

Well here's the kicker you got a PCI-E slot when most of the cards are PCI-Ev2. Most cards are backwards compatible so it shouldn't be too much of an issue, however maybe someone would like to chime in if they've had issues with it. So definitely upgrading you're ram is going to be about as big of an improvement as upgrading the GPU. For the GPU I would suggest either an 8800/9800. ...

Hi all, I'm looking to OC my 9600GT 512 MB GPU. What are the optimal values should I turn to? EVGA precision shows these values: 650; 1625; 900 and 35 for FAN SPEED. After OC will I get better fps on FS9 (high density airports with fully AI). After all, does it worth over-clocking? Kind regards, Fatmir

I'm looking to rebuild/upgrade my existing machine. I'll be carrying over optical drives, storage, sound card, case, power supply, case fans, etc. I also have a "new to me" PCIe ATI 9800GT 1GB which I hope to reuse. I have WinXP and Vista Business at my disposal, but not Win7. So what I really need is an ATX mobo (not microATX, please!), CPU (+ cooling?), and RAM for not more than $400 all-in...

i7 ram comes in multiples of 3... so I would highly recommend 6 gigs to start.

FS Global 2008 has separate installation disks for FS9 and FSX, are you sure you installed the correct one for FS9? I'm running this mesh on Vista Ultimate 64 without problems.

Okay, I have found some, but they all are USB 2.0 and max out at 480 mbps. I fear this will run FSX like a slide show when it comes to fps. Is this true?

I installed the drivers for the card but it doesn't seem to have changed anything. You'll want...
