A while back, I was having some problems with the rear brakes on my truck. I suspected a warped drum, but decided to check the shoes, springs, and other things first. My plan was to jack up the truck by the rear axle, take the wheels off, slide the drums off, have a look, and put the wheels back on one side at a time. I figured it would only take me a minute to look, so I didn't need to use jack stands. I wasn't going to be under...

Thanks Jim,
I was considering this piece for my 470 build. I figured it would be over seas but I don't like the "copy" part.

Never mind horsepower ratings and drivetrains. Just the appearance of the cars. Which body/interiors do you all like best. Yeah, there have been similar poles in the past, but hp always becomes a factor.

Very sad to say the least. I watched that documentary on the last truck out of the Ohio plant, very very sad.
So much for "Wide Track".

All the connections that I've looked up in my Network+ manual are 25 meters
or more. I don't think you'll have a problem. Is there any information in
the X Box 360 instructions about it?

Even if you don't do anything over the winter months, at least lift up the carpeting on the right side. If the core is leaking the rug on top may not feel wet, but the under padding could be soaked & the anti-freeze will rot out the floor in short order. Soak it up with towels & papers & keep an "Eye" on it over the winter.

Why would you want to get the old book smell out? My old Motors manuals are all like that. I actually like it
Reminds me of the Mohair smell a 1940s car has. Old car smell....aaaahhhh!

Happened not too far my house and the cops involved were from my town. It's unbelievable and sad- two dead kids for no reason.
The parents of one of the kids were out late and drove past a bad accident, not recognizing the crushed car. It wasn't until an officer knocked on their door that they knew their kid was in the accident and dead. By all accounts the the two teens were good kids. ...

The way I look at it if everyone out there knew about the strengths of the A-body Buick then it wouldn't be a secret anymore, would it?
This is the way I prefer it.
Chevy built cars for the masses, for a price. Buick built essentially the same car for the masses, for a higher price. As we all know the restoration price can ecsalate from there due to parts availability. Not near as common as ...

On 2 different occasions, I forgot to put the oil slinger back on the crank when replacing timing chains.
I'd get everything buttoned back up, turn around and see it lying there on the bench.
When I reassembled the Riv's 455 after rebuilding, I was tempted to wear it hanging from a chain around my neck so I wouldn't repeat the mistake a 3rd time.

I used it for touchup on a truck on areas not seen,I found out the factory
clearcoat doesn't extend under the hood. I have a spot that looks nice and
it doesn't match.I liked the shine without having to spray twice. When I
paint the whole car I will spray the door jams with single stage and
trunk.then b/c the rest.

I'd climb the ladder at the police station - be it sergeant or captain or
whatever they have. I had an issue once with an unreasonable out-of-control
cop and had to go to his superior. It worked out.
