Well, it was an interesting day - got stuck in some meetings after work and so missed the auction for the '73 Quadrajet - will have to keep looking for another rebuilt spare. I got a call from Allstate as well and they bench tested the '72 carb with no problems - no smoking at all. I took the carb home and put it back on the Buick. Started the Buick up and sure enough, no smoking. Took it out for a small trip and still no smoking -...

looking for a few 455 parts like a set of headers a spx1 or forged pistons for a 455. used doesnt bother me just looking for the truck early and want to get on it for this winter. also a carb like a holly or dome or something. Thanks Guys Doug

I am looking for a nice 455 Quadrajet for a street performance 455 build. It will be going into my 1970 Buick GS455 Stage 1 Clone. I am not picky on matching up numbers or correct year but I am looking for a good condition complete setup that is ready to go or at least very close.
