Amen! So proud of all the men and women who make our country safe. God bless their families at home, who wait and hope for their loved ones' safe and speedy return.

First, sleep. Then, friends. You will be last (sorry). If you want to find out what his life is like - invite his friends over and order pizza, sit and listen.
Be prepared for a little bit of a
downer the day before he heads back.

It's up to you. As a parent, I would have no qualms in making a deal. I pay your airfare, you sleep at my house. If he wants to stay with the gf he can get her to pay his airfare. If he doesn't like that deal he would be welcome to spend Thanksgiving in
Colorado Springs.

It's called PARENT'S weekend. He's supposed to be with you guys who supported and helped them through his entire
life. Without you he wouldn't be were he is today and some girl he's been with considerably less than the amount of time you guys have is taking priority over you.
But, he is 18 and it's his decision. There really isn't anything you can do except ...

Airtran pulled out of Newark and airline X is really gouging us now. I just need a
one way ticket for my son at Cmas, as he'll catch up w/ the team on his own for the team trip...Delta wants >$400 for one way! I called to ask them if this was a mistake. It wasn't. DS can get himself to a different airport and fly w/ airtran for $150 (still $50 more than what I expected to pay).
