I can concur. Although a letter is expected, it's expected to take a while to get here. DS had some remedials to get past before being officially 'Qualified'. I haven't asked specifically but I don't expect the USNA site to change. I think it's more of an accounting thing for all things needing qualification. I'm not sure on that one either. That was added to my son's AF and WP statuses last week (at the same time the offer extended was to Navy's). I applied to the West Point summer seminar. So USMA had my information, as if I had started an application with them. However, I never completed and application to any of the academies. I have applied to NROTC and AROTC. I received the DoDMERB letter months ago and went through the process. I am horribly nearsighted, my glasses script is either -7.00 or -7.25, and I was DODMERB qualified for USMA. Everything is a case by case basis, and Im pretty sure the requirements are different for each academy, and if there are any other eye issues those could cause problems. I think you should be O.K. regarding USMA if everything is correctable and you have no other eye issues. However again this is just my best guess and of course,...
