Thanks officer! I will keep my fingers crossed that good news is traveling your way soon. Whiteage- Those are great accomplishments(LOA MMA and being deemed comp for AF) that put your daughter in an elite group of young people across the nation. Dont forget that a large number of appointments come from RA. In the end, on reporting in day, it wont make a difference which month that the appointment came

Congratulations to those receiving the large envelope. The roller coaster is boarding and ready to roll on June 28th. What an exciting ride it is! There are a few of us 'veteran' parents out here to help you through this transition. Seems like just yesterday we were watching our oldest cross that stage and packing the car to head to their first duty station. Didn't get any easier to say goodbye, but knowing that they're...

Sitting here so proud of our son. He's wanted this since middle school and his dreams are coming true. So proud that he's reaching his dreams, so proud that he's chosen to serve his country, proud to be his Mom. However, this is bitter sweet. Cannot believe that 18 years have gone by in the blink of an eye. Can't believe that after June 28th, he's gone, the little boy is gone, to be replaced...

Per the Coast Guard blog page: http://www.uscg.mil/comdt/blog/ "The Coast Guard currently plans to have four Predator-B qualified pilots. Current FAA regulations require any aircraft operated in the national airspace system, including unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), to be piloted by a qualified and current pilot. The first operational USCG UAV pilot is LT Thomas Shuler who has six years ...

This is ridiculous. The CG has done a fine job of diversifying its student body. Politics are so sometimes. Using a holistic approach for selection based on personal merit is always going to be the best way to choose a future cadet. It should have nothing to do with ethnicity, race, or anything else, except for that individual's earned merit. I was very impressed with the admissions staff...

I am going out of my mind with the waiting since this is my number one top choice. The stress levels are high. I am trying to keep focused on my school work so I dont ask my mom to check the mail every day (2xs). Talk about counting down. Wishing each and everyone one of us all the luck. Hang in there all.
