E46 M3 Passenger door not opening

Sounds like the linkage to the door handle has popped off and the window is pushing on it and opening the door for you when you roll it down. Generally a quick easy fix.

2002 325ci starter issue?
Published (2009-11-05 23:28:00)
My son's '02 325ci has been acting strangely lately. Symptoms are as follows: One HID light flickers intermittently at times Car will not start without warning even though OEM battery shows fully charged and receives proper consistent charging voltage from alternator When car has not started (twice recently) it starts when jumper cables are used. When car does not start, interior lights, radio and headlights do work. Attempting to...

All 4 Window Switch
Published (2009-11-06 11:41:00)
Just joined the community and enjoy reading the many postings. I have a 2002 325CI convertable. THe all 4 window switch just broke (the plastic portion as I believe the electrical portion is still in good condition). I want to replace the switch and understand it comes as a unit (front, all 4 and rear). Can anyone tell me how difficult this would be to replace? I'd hope to repair it myself. Steve

Usually just a trim tool and about 20 minutes worth of time, the trick is to not exert excessive force on the parts you aren't replacing. The plug on the back usually has a sliding section that unplugs the pins (when slid in one direction), and then replugs the new bit in (when slid back).

Interior lights and radio don't really mean squat, they use very low amounts of power. Clicking while trying to start indicates low battery, generally not bad starter (that would be one loud clack with no engine movement). New battery IS a good idea, also get the alternator checked. I'm not sure when the IBS made it's way onto the three's, but if equipped it could be getting dodgy (part of ...

Could be a number of things but I'd start by checking for vacuum leaks, then move on to sensors, but that would require a scan tool.
