Swedish government bans Religion in Schools -- even private ones By: Andrew Brown writing for the Guardian The Swedish government has announced plans to clamp down hard on religious education. It will soon become illegal even for private faith schools to teach religious doctrines as if they were true. In an interesting twist on the American experience, prayer will remain legal in ...

QUOTE 19 For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity. 20All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return. 21Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down into the ...

The democrats once again have proven that being elected is far more important than fixing a crises. The democrat leadership refused to allow a vote on trying to fix the energy crises so that they could go home and tell the voters that they support fixing the crises. After the election, if they win the white house they will start the process of raising taxes on the rich(raising prices ...

Many believers claim believing in god makes them a better person . Why does one need to believe in god to be a better person ? I noticed being a parent and experiencing the development of a child has made me a better person. Ironically, I feel I am a better person since losing my faith, because life seems much more precious & vulnerable to me. I also don't view the world and it's ...

Hello I'm Cadetak ::waves:: and I like to claim to be half skeptic and half believer...not an atheist or theist, not a republican or democrat, neither for or against abortion, etc. Mostly because I can see the reasoning and justifications for both sides. But when it comes to this debate, the homosexuality debate I see no logical, reasonable, justifiable or good reason to be against ...

In Orthodox Judaism, "Mishnah Kiddushin 1:1 specifies that a woman is acquired (i.e., to be a wife) in three ways: through money, a contract, and sexual intercourse. Ordinarily, all three of these conditions are satisfied, although only one is necessary to effect a binding marriage. "~JewFAQ In essence, a person can be considered married by Jewish law even if they aren't considered ...

LONDON: The heirs of Knights Templar have initiated a legal battle in an attempt to force the Vatican to restore the reputation of the disgraced order that was accused of heresy and dissolved seven centuries ago. In a lawsuit, the Association of the Sovereign Order of the Temple of Christ, whose members claim to be descendants of Knights Templar, has called on Pope Benedict to recognise ...

I would thus attempt here to post something a little more logical. This is not about me, but I am about to express an opinion.... ...
