I would like to ask what is the difference between halal, mustahab, mubah , wajib and sunnat. Also haram, makruhe tahrimi, makruh...etc. How to decide whether particular act is haram or makruh. Also, regarding cutting of hairs on chest, legs and thighs for both men and women, you had replied that it is permissible but undesirable. What does that mean? If i do perform that act will i be sinful...

asalam alaikum again i heard theres a hadith in abi dawud where Aisha herself mentions that a marriage wasn't consummated by arabs until only after a females menses - her menses signifying her adulthood. Infact, the logic of these people is amazing because they themselves accuse 13yr olds, or 9yr olds of being children. Yet they themselves know that these 'children' are capable of...

Slmz. Many people doubt the existence of Abdaals. The following article should remove all doubts Assalaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah dear Mufti Desai, 1) Haffiz Ibn ul Qayyim [ra] has stated that all narrations regarding abdaal and aqtaab (أبدال والأقطاب) are da'eef and falsely attributed to the prophet [saws] (al-Manaar al-Muneef 136) Is there any other views within ahlus sunnah?...

He wasn't after this world and its pleasures... Long before there was any prospect of success for Islam and at the outset of a long and painful era of torture, suffering, and persecution of Muhammad and his followers, he received an interesting offer: An envoy of the pagan leaders, Otba (Utbah ibn Rabi'a), came to him saying, “...If you want money, ...

Dream Interpretation - 3 new posts
Started 1 week ago (2008-10-05 01:17:00)  by Mickey Mouth
Is there anything in the Quran or Hadith that speaks of the meaning of one's dreams? Although I am not a Muslim, I've been having dreams for the past few months that I am at Muslim prayer in a mosque with many other men. Most often it is a recurring dream where I am touching my head to the ground in prayer (although I don't pray at all during my waking hours.) The room that we're in is ...

Assalamu alaikum I am looking for an account from the Seerah of the Prophet SAW. Basically the muslims are heading towards a place and the Quraish get there first to turn the people (king?) away from them, and/or form an alliance against the muslims. The people (king?) ask questions to verify whether this is the true religion. e.g. "Do the rich follow him?" "Is he (SAW) known ...

Assalmualykum, Does anybody has the Arabic Translation of this Hadith below is all I can find is the English version. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be A losers. Wedlock, Marriage (Nikaah) [62:27] ...

bismillahirahmanirahim Everyone has a different opinion. My personal opinion is we should never settle for simply being Muslims. We should aim for true Iman, true faith. Our Prophet Muhammad explained to us the steps of achieving true Iman. These steps are by no means easy, and the path to righteousness is a steep one. But we should strive for the top man! I'm not talking about the top...
