After the destruction you said you replaced the rotor? Did you replace the cap as well? The out of alignment rotor and ensuing damage may have whacked the cap contacts out of alignment?

IIRC the hazard realy has only 2 pins. They look kinda like this _ l . It may be square and plastic, it might be a little round tin can no telling as many different types were produced over the years. It shouldnt be big and metal, and I doubt it has a built in bracket. I hope this helps.

Hey ya'll, well, Ive finally started my little project of trying to stuff 4.11 gears into an RX trans, along with the 1.59:1 low range gears from a 3.9 D/R tranny (vs. the 1.2:1 gears from the RX). The goal of this build it to get the lower, close-ratio gearset of the RX trans, plus the much lower final drive of the Legacy trans (4.11 vs. 3.70) and the lower low range, all to be able to turn my ...

just a obvious suggestion, no poking fun intended, but the knob that slides up and down between red and blue is the temp selector. Just want to throw it out there if you haven't switched it to the red section your probably not getting any heat.

an ignition wire, rotor, or cap is the problem.

This sounds a lot like it might be a bad fusible link. Check it again, try a new one. If the link is sound, and the conductor is bad, then run the new conductor from the link, not directly from the battery. The link is there for overcurrent protection, it is safer to not bypass it.

Any SPFI ECU will work. Try to stick with a GL ECU (rather than a Loyale), and one with the same style tranny as your's.
Good chance you fried the ECU. That's a noted issue in the factory service manual.
I would try the wanted forum. Lots of folks here that can get ECU's and fusibile links from yards.

How many miles on this? A new oil pump may not be needed. A new one is nearly always a desireable thing to have. If it has 150,000 miles on it, a new pump would last the life of the car with no worries.
Yea, we buy them like that all the time. Use it as a bargaining chip.

Just curious what is the year range we can use and what is the bonus of this. I understand for offroad lights and a winch. But what is the output of the factory alternator.

Replace the pump. Might only last a couple miles. When they go it's usually quick.
As for the idle - clean your IAC and go from there. Check the CTS for correct resistance when cold.

Have you checked the fuses? Often the power supply circuits are different for the flasher circuit than for the turn signals.
