I worked in an Easter Seal Center one summer. I don't suppose that fits the category of 'fun, weird, or gaws awful'...but I knew that summer that I was not cut out to see little children suffer the way some have to in this world. What's worse is that in helping them make gains, you have to make them suffer even more. Not for me. NOT for me.

End of the Decade

It might be a turning point for the two parties. In 2010 unless a miracle happens we will certainly see another Republican takeover much like in 1994, as the Democrats largess spending and passing unpopular bills will most definitely cause severe losses. And after the republicans takeover and we still see massive spending etc....this could finally be the point in which the American people get fully disenchanted with both parties. And a 3rd...

When all three doors are closed, you have a 33.3% chance of getting the car.
You choose your door, and one of the other doors is opened, revealing a goat. At this point, you do not have a 33.3% chance of getting the car, you have a 50% chance of getting the car.
If you elect to switch, and choose the other door, you still have only a 50% chance of getting the car.

The absolute worst job I've ever had was my first, picking strawberries. It's all fun and romantic to go "pick your own strawberries," but doing it for a job blows heavily.
At the same location, though, I also had one of my most enjoyable jobs thus far, being the "guide" in a corn maze.

A little contest.
Who can come up with the one word Google search with the most hits?
It has to be a word most people would recognize; it can be a name or other proper noun.
Ill start off with Googling Google at 2.44 billion.
Note www`` is not a word but gets over 22 billion hits

Another little contest.
Who can come up with the one word Google search with the least hits?
It has to be a word most people would recognize. Lets stay away from long obscure chemical names etc. Search onlt English pages and the word has to be in English.
Ill start off with Googling Gwenith ( a womans name) at 36,600 hits

A random comment in this thread made me think about something I'm inexplicably curious about. How much have you paid for cars? Particularly your first few.
My answers and when/what I got are as follows:
1999- 1986 Dodge Caravan: Got it in exchange for working with my father without pay during spring break my junior year of highschool. Sold it for a hundred dollars when I went ...

I bought a 42" Panasonic VIERRA Plasma TV a year ago. I'm extremely happy with it. The picture quality is fantastic. My roommate has a 50" Samsung LCD, and though the picture is great, it doesn't touch my VIERRA. I'm thinking about getting a 65" VIERRA sometime in the next couple of months.
So, what say you? Are you a Plasma or LCD person?
Oh, and before anyone says anthing about "...

And the waitress hands him a menu... then comes back later and says "what can I get you?" And the Republican says "I don't know, I'm a redneck hick and can't read, could you tell me what's on the menu?"
