Lavatories on WN
Published (2009-12-02 01:22:00)
And you'd be right for a lot of FC passengers (probably not me personally since I probably wouldn't be a FC passenger if I had to pay for it). But that's the legacy mindset again - WN doesn't have FC, thus no FC passengers to be picky about who uses "their" lav. The point originally being made was that 2 lavs for 137 passengers was a negative for WN and all I was saying was that US has the same number of...

QUOTE (BoeingBoy @ Nov 28 2009, 01:13 PM) As someone else mentioned, I think the legacy mindset is showing. Take a US A320 - 3 lavs are on the airplane which makes WN's 2 sound unreasonable for up to 137 passengers, but 1 of those 3 A320 lavs is "reserved" for FC passengers leaving...drum roll please...only 2 available for up to 138 coach passengers on a transcon. So where's the difference? Jim...

Latest NOV data shows LUV increased their traffic the most at an amazing rate of 11.1%. AirTran was close behind at 10.5%. LUV has decreased their capaity by 7.7% and AAI increased capacity by 9.2% All airlines saw an increase in load factor as they have been adjusting capacity and demand, except LCC, they saw flat traffic at -.04%. LUV's load factor increased double figures, 13.3%. I don't put much into LF just because we...

QUOTE (WCT @ Nov 9 2009, 09:04 AM) How many lavatories are offered on all aircraft? Most are just two, right? One up front, and One back? Or, are there more on the longer range 737? Sorry to ask, but I find it hard to believe the newer a/c would not accomadate at least 3 on the longer flights. 2 lavs. The 737-800's that I worked on had 2 and I believe -900's also have 2. ...

Actually, Southwest is not always the lowest price carrier on a particular route on a particular day, but in any market everyday you can expect they will charge a reasonable fare. Given that my airline (AA) may have 15 or 20 different fares for the same route depending not only on the day of the week you fly, but even the time of day you fly, I'm not surprised that Southwest's pricing ...

Mike, I think that the commericals are unique and funny, just like most of Southwest's ads. This is what I find compelling about the ad and the challenge. While Air New Zealand may not be the largest or most well known airline, they are a legitmate, long standing, full serice airline. Most of the full service world carrier's either ignore or belittle Southwest. If you are the CEO of ...

I loved this statement..."We welcome the opportunity for our negotiating teams to re-engage and work toward an agreement that best meets the needs of our Company and our outstanding Pilots during these challenging economic times." As opposed to the statement AMR might make..."We are deeply disappointed in the actions of those thieving pilots who are trying to destroy our company. We see ...
