QUOTE (SpinDoc @ Nov 14 2009, 08:09 AM) Oh, and since Dayton is the corporate and maintenance "home" of PSA Airlines/wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways, it made a lot of sense to put the plane down there. People in this country need a hobby besides scouring the internet for negative stories about the airlines when they are non-events. The intent of the OP was a comment on the press, not PSA or US.

I live next to Love. Lots of aircraft from other airlines fly in for maintenance. Remember DalFort (Old Braniff maintenance) has a large operation. See Alligent , US Express, Middle East private jets, there this week alone. Love does a large amont ofmaintenance for charters as well.

Well, technically, this was PSA, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways Group, Inc. So, this was a US Airways plane legally speaking.

And, even it if were one of the regionals contracted with US Airways, it would still be US Airways in the mind of the public because that is what it said on the side of the airplane. Even here in the home country of AA, I sometimes see or hear news references to an "American Airlines regional jet." American Airlines and American Eagle are totally separate subsidiaries of AMR Corporation, but the public still thinks of the...

QUOTE (phasersonstun2 @ Sep 28 2009, 08:47 AM) Recently there was a mainline pilot requesting jumpseat on Piedmont Airlines and ran into a "buzzsaw" from the flight crew. Cold shoulder. No handshake, but allowed to ride. Apparently they were angry that mainline US MANAGEMENT engaged in a slot transaction with DAL that has negatively affected them. Dudes, don't punish the ground ...

[quote name='PITbull' date='Sep 4 2009, 04:51 PM' post='705992'] Greetings. I happen to fly USA3000 to CANCUN...on my return flight to PIT on Aug 6, my brand new baggage came back destroyed. I brought in the rep at baggage claim to view this and write it up. She told me she doubts that they will cover my bag for damage. They have a policy that does not cover any damage for replacement or...
