Frame plug for the Glock 30sf
Published (2009-11-24 17:49:00)
Can I make a suggestion. Don't use a "Butt Plug" on the Glock. The opening at the bottom of the grip frame serves 2 purposes. One, if the magazine gets jammed or is tight in place from a malfunction or debris, you need that space to grab with your thumb and index finger to get the mag out. Have a double feed with the slide foward and try to grab the mag and pull it out, then maybe wet your hands as if bloody or muddy...

I don't have any experience with their customer service, but... My Best friend uses one of these taser gun lookin thingies as his primary carry and he didn't have any FTF issues at all from day one. He's out about 600 rounds through it now and has been dumping range reloads through it.

Finally Got The Beretta PX4...

Put another 100 rounds through it, and got only 4 FTFs. Nevertheless, it's time to send it back to Beretta. It's really a disappointment - I wouldn't expect this from a $600 gun, especially since one of my main reasons for buying it was all the great reliability reviews that I came across. Other than FTFs the gun shot great, was pretty accurate, with very manageable recoil (9 mm). Since it's pretty slick it's easy to...

i agree with all said. it's just so fun to post this shit & see what happens.anyone whom wud let the internet peeps & forum members form their opinion is just plain silly. of course i wud shoot both models & then some. i think this gun vs. that gun is fun to read & that's about it. just as sad as some peeps think that knowing how many & what guns a person owns is a private matter , SO WHAT ,...

I don't know about the 30 so I probably shouldn't post but I have a 21SF and the difference from a 21 is very subtle to me. The SF stands for short frame and I think the difference is only a tenth of an inch or so in how it sits in your hand to trigger.
When I was about to buy mine I read a ton about the 21 versus the 21SF and was convinced it would be a big deal. I shot both and really ...

I think in that price range you're looking at some compact pistols. Kel-Tec and the Ruger LCP are below $400 and are great guns (IMO). For a full size you're looking at possibility a Rock Island 1911.
You may be able to haggle down to that on a used Glock...
If you're dead set on your budget at $400 those are my recommendations. You can go to Auction Arms and use the advanced search ...

Hotheads like this guy are exactly who the antis believe all gun carriers will behave like if someone pisses them off. Jackasses like him do nothing except make antis' jobs easier.

I would go to a range/shop that will let you rent and try shooting both models.

The PM9 is an outstanding firearm. I'm partial to the PM line. I have all three, the PM9, PM40 and the PM45. I also have an old E9. My PM9 will fire anything I put in it. They do recommend a 200 rd break-in before you carry it. Kahr also has great no questions asked customer service.

For concealed carry, check out Crossbreed Holsters. I've got a Super Tuck and it makes my full sized 1911 more comfortable than my Glock 19.

Why are you so concerned with the half-cock notch? No 1911 should be carried from half-cock, as it is NOT a "half-cock"! The notch you speak of is there simply for safety. It is designed to catch the sear on that notch if the full-cock notch slips, therefore not firing the weapon. You WILL (I repeat WILL) eventually screw up your hammer/sear engagement surface if you carry it on the first ...
