I have a custom H.B.E. Holster from my XD-40. Eric made the holster to do exactly what I wanted and I could not be happier. H.B.E. Specialty LeatherWorks

You would need some type of "foundation" to attach the holster. Without a solid platform, you run the risk of drawing your holster along with your firearm. An alternative method of carry, like the belly band or smart carry would be best if you want concealment without wearing a belt. gf

Hi all! I do not have my permit yet but should soon and I am still trying to make my mind up on holsters and little things like carry gear. I have a XD .40 with a 4" barrel. Right now I have a holster from El Paso saddle company that is kind of like a high ride OWB. I'll get a picture up tomorrow hopefully. However I m unsure as to how well it will work for me... reason being is that it seems like the grip prints too much. Any...

try wearing it aroung the house with your buddies over. Dont tell them you are carrying, and see if they notice. I just started carrying myself and noticed that I was real paranoid, but you will soon find out that no one will no you are carrying

Hi My favorite holster are IWB for PF9 and PF32 by keltec in the above order, sorry supertuck fans. Wild Bill and Khloseter are very close, bill edges out due to comfort. Supertuck is ok but is not as comfy and I think does not conceal as well, but I use all three. My .02 worth. Tx

Most people here will probably disagree with me on this.. But here was my solution. I also am very concerned about printing.. It's not so much that I think most people will notice, shoot they don't notice me on a yellow motorcycle and a red jacket, most people are oblivious... However, you only need the one that notices and freaks out and yells - "HE'S GOT A GUN!!!" OK.. So much for my fears and nightmares.....

I knew I should have checked here before I went shopping.. Anyway, I just picked up a C-T.A.C. 1911 5" (That's what it said on the bag) made by Comp-Tact. What is y'alls take on this one? I needed something kinda quick and didn't have the time to wait for the super tuck.

Most El Paso holsters are made for a inch an half or inch and three quarter belt - get a proper sized belt of double thickness (there are some reasonable priced belts out there specifically for concealed carry). Another issue with El Paso is that their leather is cut a little on the thin side - great for some weapons, bad for other, heavier ones. Might look up DM Bullard ( Gun Leather, Concealment and Cowboy holsters, Azle, TX. ) for holsters...

I normally dress business casual, dress pants and dress shirt tucked in. After work is normally jeans and golf shirt tucked. Looks like I'll need to untuck the golf shirt or change dress style. Any suggestions? I carry a glock 19.

I have an XD40 Sub in a SuperTuck and couldn't be happier. It is my first carry holster and did a lot of research before purchasing and decided to pay the money and get it. If I didn't like it, there was always a two week free trial!! NICE. Anyways, I still have it and am extremely content. I didn't order a belt right away and have since bought a new gun belt and now the pair is extremely ...

Try using any of your current IWBs without a belt and I think that is what you can expect unless you do something like Super Carry.

Someone correct me if wrong but I don't think it could be a federal offense in NC if it is not a federal offense everywhere. Here in Texas it a violation of the state law to carry but the caveat to that is the Hospitals have to post the correct sign at all entrances before it is enforceable. Same goes for churches.

I did not know of any Federal law that prevents a CHL holder from entering a school. I know in the state of Oregon that is not problem.

I called Rocky and spoke with him at length....he likes to talk, that's for sure....anywho, he was really nice to deal with and answered all of my questions. I will likely be placing an order within the coming days. I just need to decide which holster I want.
