I would say about an hour from Bristol to Peak Physique. I enjoyed training at Empire in Bristol!!

As mentioned earlier in the thread, you should definitly include 'pause work' in your routine. When im doing a powerlifting bench routine i always do 3 sets of normal full bench presses then do 3 sets of 'pause reps', pausing the bar for 1-2 seconds on my chest(slightly below line of nipples), then exploding the bar upwards as forcefully as possible. Thanks lads Very chuffed with gains really and so many people on here and gym owner have really helped, you know who you are Gonna be blasting for another 4-5 weeks so should see further progress I hope. Also really pleased as reduced calories at present to shed some fat

Youve got 2 workout blocks there, a 3 week endurance program followed by a 3 week strength program with some strongman thrown in for a laugh? Personally, i think its a bit crap. Have a look at Defrancos training and conjugated periodisation. To be honest, i think that would suit you down to the ground. Try and watch Strong and Super Strong by defranco, both go into what his training is all ...

Al is top bloke & always willing to help. A few of us make the 500+ mile round trip at least once a yr to lift at Als gym. Last time i made it we had a buffet after cooked by Al`s mate Andre(?) who is a world champ power lifter ,wouldn`t get that many places. World class sausage rolls.

thought the powerlifters would have answered by now. they must all be out sh#gging, you'll have to spend the whole weekend sh#gging too once you've competed (not each other, lol)... i don't have enough knowladge to help you with that one but wanted to wish you all the best between now & then & hope it goes well when it comes around
