Published (2009-11-10 04:57:00)
What happened to the 5% off IWOOT discount code that was due to expire 31st of December 2009? It seems to have disappeared. I don't have a voucher code or cashback site, but have promoted that code on a number of pages and will now have to remiove it. Didn't receive anything about this from IWOOT or AW .

Anyone else noticed that Sky tend to approve all purchases that result in a zero (0.00) commission for the affiliate? Like everyone else, 99% of all our commissions seem to be declined as not last referer, with the exception of the zero commissions. Seems to me that this is could be used as a way of bumping up the apparent "approval rate" of the programme in affiliate window's statistics, so that the true appalling rate...

Hi, It's true that the majority of existing customer transactions for Sky are approved and though many of these track at £0 commission, there are existing customer orders like those for Broadband Everyday and Broadband Unlimited that fetch up to £15 and £20 commission. In that respect, I think it's unfair to say all these transactions are being approved because they have commission values of £0. With regard to their decline rate...

Affiliate Window has launched a real-time communication service for technical queries that need a simple and quick answer. This handy feature will not replace our existing support ticketing system, but will run in conjunction with it, answering queries such as “I’ve forgotten my password”, “Where in my account do I find merchant banners?” and “When is the next AW payment...

yep - afraid Sky has been playing this dodgy game for ages. I doubt anyone gets the commission when you're not last referrer. Helen promised to bring transparency to the whole situation but it hasn't happened - it's always 'not last referrer' or 'an upgrade'. What I've said many times is that it's the network that needs to make a stance with merchants like this. Sky, of course, is a huge ...

Set-up a crawler to go get the information off their site? You have the basic deeplinks. Do they have the SKU code in the feed? If they have you could easily just run the script once to collect initial data then only run it again on new products in the feed. Saying that their is a good chance the info on their site might be the same - I dunno. Ta Baz < edit > I am talking about...
