Pod-less Wisteria?
Published (2009-11-27 10:14:00)
I just noticed that my friends wisteria has long seed pods and my husband just removed a wisteria on a job site that had pods, yet our wisteria never has had one pod! Both of these other wisteria plants are in the same region and have similar climates (no clue on soil quality or content). We bought our home nine years ago and the wisteria was well established; the gardener for the prior owner said that it was planted over 50 years ago by said...

Try it early next spring. No quotes around kolomitka as it is a species name rather than cultivar.

If it has to be cut off to make way do that in time to have it cleared away for the job. Make provisions for it to not be trampled during construction. That includes the root zone.

Hmm. Is the shed in full sun? Just thinking that if yes, the metal might get hot enough to toast your ivy, and full sun is not the ideal environment for ivy in any case. As for the clinging-on part, I daresay it probably would!

passiflora vines are usually hardy to zone 6 and some to zone 5, so, really no need to uproot it and keep it inside over winter (unless your location is a lower zone rating). being hardy doesn't mean it will be evergreen, so, the vines would die back over winter and the plant would regrow from the roots come spring. i don't know if you can salvage this or not - you could try planting it ...

Now that it's fall, I'm redoing a lot of sections of my garden. Can I move a clematis that's been in it's current spot for about 3 years?
