I don't like hearing 'even if they don't finish the album' and U2 haven't 'road tested' material since TUF and that was already scheduled to be released the following month. Still, yay songwriting!!!

The more I listen to the Brothers version, the more it seems bizarre and non-cohesive for me. Starting on the impression that some of the tracks were recorded many time ago, some others more recently and mixed together now, like a single version... but not in a good way. Bono's vocal take is better and more emocional. But maybe too much. [Is it just my impression or Bono clearly goes out of tune in the "so glad you made...

Continuing from the previous conversation - however many tracks, and
whatever lead single; I fully expect an album by Spring. It sounds like
they have an embarrassment of too many songs, not too few!

I say enough of the familiar faces for a while. No more
Eno/Lanois/Lillywhite/Flood etc. and at least try something different with
Rubin.

Well 402/I believe as it was called at the time came out as the song "Boy Falling From The Sky" and is likely to appear in the Broadway musical revolving around Spider-Man with the subtitle Turn Off The Dark. This would be the clip you called "I Could Wait til The Morning I don't know 4:16" There's a snippet of the finished song on the show's official website: Spider-Man On Broadway - ...

Forgot to appreciate this one.
COL was a real grower for me. Didn't like it that much in the beginning but I do love it now. I really like Bono's whispering voice. I think it's U2's best closer together with LIB and WUDM.

NLOTH: live. 2nd best live song off the album.
Magnificent: sorry, album version. One of those great studio takes by U2, like Pride, One, Desire and Kite.
MOS: I like both, though the edge goes slightly to the studio, for the awesome vocal.
UC: album. The chanting is better.
Crazy tonight: That's not even worth dignifying with an answer.
Boots: live. The intro alone wins...
