i give props to Springsteen for playing for 3 hours. i personally don't think Bono's voice could handle it. read that how you want. some people might automatically say that Bruce is better for that fact. but i would rather take 1 good hour of U2 than 3 hours of Bruce. but that's just me.

Can someone point me in the direction of videos which demonstrate the diference between the Popmart and Elevation versions of Streets? I've listened to the audio from the Mexico City DVD and I can't pick up much of a techno influence.

New Year's Day has not been played a lot lately. I went to 24 Vertigo concerts and I saw New Year's Day once. I've been to four 360 concerts and I saw it twice. It's a nice treat I think, and it still sounds pretty damn good. And it's an awesome song. The entire stadium went apeshit when they heard the bassline to kick the song off too, so it's a good crowdpleaser and sounds a LOT better than say Pride did.

I agree that, in the context of PM, it sounded cool (the light-speed visuals were also pretty cool), but, it was merely Streets + a sound effect. I think we have to keep that in perspective when qualifying the difference from the norm.

The only songs that sounded tired to me was Mysterious Ways & Walk On (and Pride at Chicago I, dropped after that). Everything else sounds great.
Streets, SBS, and even One sound quite refreshing. And WOWY fits well next to UV.

Maybe I have to be there in concert to fully appreciate this song live, but hearing only the audio of this song it sounds a bit uninspiring. The moments that make this track shine on the album fall flat live. The guitar is just so upfront, sharp, and hard-hitting on the studio track that it makes you want to sing for joy in the chorus. The live version doesn't give me that kind of inspiration. ...

Maybe some POP (really fits with the stage)?? And YBR should be permanent
(they didn't play this one at Giants), I saw the boys at Giants, and it was
amazing, crowd was electric, but I think throwing in a few POP songs would
up the tempo, one can dream right - U2 should pull a real 360 - and play
Pop! Either way, I'm going back, don't miss this one.

nope, i just discovered this now
personally i think that they don't rotate the setlist enough but they also need to keep the casuals in the crowd happy but they should also play small gigs for the hardcore fans

Totally agree with opening with an older tune like Gloria or 11 O'Clock Tick Tock. Would love to hear that.

To me it sounds something like this:
Yeah, shoot your hearts!
Gonna go it in the sun!
With the blue torn hat!
In the tilted line!
In the suburbs, in the sand!
Your heart breaks
Be in the sun
For your soul's sake
Wear your heart
When you write your love
On the cedar
Don't write your love
On the water
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
