Play with poker stove a lot, then you will start just knowing how you range does vs an opponents. Then you will start value-betting more and better.Which = Monies.Think of it this way he has a value range and a bluff range which one is he most likely using here on me and which can I beat.

You can gain an edge for sure shortstacking with other short stacks, simply by knowing your hand ranges by seat, and that preflop aggression is king with a tiny stack. Wait for a decent preflop hand, get all the money in 4 ways with 40% of the equity. The edge is somewhat capped tho. Mostly these live games are great because the players are so used to playing poorly, and are able to not lose too much because their stacks are so shallow. When...

First step is you must catergorize the short stacks and figure out ASAP which ones understand short stack play and which ones don't. Its been my experience that about 70% of players have no clue how to play with a short stack and actually just play the same as if they had a big stack. Every day I see short stacks call off 60%-80% of their chips on the flop only to fold the turn when ...

1: Aces are not the nuts post flop, unless you got a third in preflop.
2: Play hands that can make the nuts with nuttier redraws.
3: Small pots preflop, flop huge, build a big pot postflop and play in position to do so.
4: Get your nut straight money in on the turn when the flop comes 2 flush.
5: Bottom two is a total suckbag hand, bottom set only slightly better.

Blinds and other dead money will make a call better.
I know you said never bluffing, but it would be interesting to see how often he'd have to do that in order to make calling at 120 stack correct, probably not very much. It would also depend what he's bluff shoving with; 44 won't increase your equity, 9J will, and A6 will increase it the most.

Actually raising to 6bb is the exact opposite of what I want to do with my premiums preflop.
We want our top pair hands to be far away from the 10-15 SPR range, and this effectively puts it smack in the middle.
I would much rather raise to 2.5 to 3.5 first in, or be able to 3bet to 10-15 units, so that my spr is in the 6-10 range post, or if its not a 3bet pot an SPR above 20...

They are very good hands to play with in position given the correct odds.
To be honest, if they hit big, and are beaten by a superior flush (for example), that is just a cooler.

The interesting thing is that this is the exact opposite of how many plays which is raising 4xBB UTG and only 2-2,5xBB on BTN

What? I disagree
I find it hard to describe 'luck'.
But 'good luck' and 'bad luck' are easier to grasp the meanings of.
I would say that 'good luck' is coming within the top ~5% percent of a confidence integral (specified to the situation).
'Bad luck' is similar, etc.
If I had to describe luck, which is more difficult, it would be something along the lines of good situational ...

You shouldn't be bluffing into big pots very often.
The answer to your question can be answered by studying game theory as it relates to poker. Sometimes, your judgement can't figure out whether you should do something or not, and game theory can provide a road map to these types of decisions (although my knowledge of game theory is not that strong).
Generally, on the ...

Wait...
1. Next time copy and paste hand history unless this was live
2. What was your stack size, and opponent's stack size?
3. It all depends on what you think villain will do on the turn and river if both a) spade comes or if b) no spade comes in both cases (so 4 cases for turn & river).
Then you can factor in " implied odds" (look it up in 'micro NL' section of 2+2), and make ...
