On books I found Harrington on Cash Games 1+2 helpfull when transitioning to NL. It's not a "bible" like SSH but a good introductory book and it covers
the foundations well IMO.
I don't have any live B&M experience (only home games) but from my understanding of what I've read around the forums the books should be enough to beat the SS live NL games.

NL hand:
If the board is 2T, monotone I defintely bet. On a dry board - do you ever not c-bet a A high rainbow board like this HU in this situation? Because if you usually do I would c-bet here too. If you don't always, what hands would you usually do this with?
Limit hand:
super standard to bet it. People c-bet way more often so he's less likely to "go away" if he has ...

For me it was the idea of Pot Size Control that made me from a losing player into a winning player at that level.
In short: Top Pair Top Kicker is not that strong of a hand and cannot win on value by betting 3 streets.
There are tons of other things, of course, but that was the one huge leak I had.

I like opening to $1 on the CO/BTN as well unless I have a read that the blinds are
super tight and I start widening my stealing range so I'll open smaller with the lower end of the range to risk less when they have a hand and call. Yes, it makes my hand more visible but I doubt weak tight opponents notice or adjust. I will open for 0.75$ from the SB as I'm OOP.
Flop is fine. I ...

Also I'm using a mac so I don't have any HUD programs or anything like that (are there any?) thus I have a hard time getting reads because it's hard enough just to play hands without timing out (which I did a few times). Would I be better off playing eight tables of regular speed as opposed to 6 tables of high
speed?

Disclaimer: I have
played live exactly twice in my life.
(1) There's a big difference in max buy-ins in lB&M casinos. 100 bb ($200 for you) is sort of standard on the Internet, but live it can be more, or less.
If you don't feel comfortable with the idea of having to bet $200 on a single hand, buy in for less while you're getting a feel for the game. However, note that your stack...

saturdays and sundays afternoonish ET, and weeknights after 6ish ET... no tools used, lol, just play around a few weeks and you'll see I'm right. Its when the 9-5'ers are off work and
not sleeping, recreational players en masse are what get those numbers in the zone. No tools required.
