How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile in Windows XP Also, according to your photo your computer security habits appear to be quite bad. You should probably follow some of the tutorials around here to learn how to operate a secure computer.

I think most anything will fit your bill. Post a few options in your price range. What is your current monitor and how do you have it hooked up?

It is definitely not the OS as I am running Windows 7 64-bit as well and have no problems with those addons running the latest Firefox version. Instead of importing your addons, etc you might want to start them from scratch and see if that makes a difference. I know it shouldn't but maybe Firefox has a bug or one of the addons screws everything up. As a last resort you might try completely uninstalling Firefox and starting over again....

Before ditching Avira, you might try if this article is of any help. If Avira doesn work for you, I recommend Panda Cloud or Avast!

OP, are you saying that your display is running at it's native resolution, and it is blurry? If so, what is the current resolution setting? Also, what monitor are you using?

Something funky is definitely going on. Follow the steps in the Malware sticky and people who are better at this than me can help you clean up what might be there.

What is your price range? The only real concern while upgrading would be what slots does your motherboard have. Does it have a PCI Express x16 slot? This is the best slot today that most higher end cards use.

Use a firewall like ZoneAlarm or Commodo. No matter how secure the poker connetion is, that won't stop someone from getting something on to your system.

I have the same thing and made a similiar post. I talked to a buddy and he said you have to delete a bunch of stuff out of the registry to get rid of it. If you don't know what your doing I advise you not to mess with the registry because you can mess your comp up pretty bad. That's all i know about it, hope it helps.

Follow the malware Q&A sticky and try to run DDS, MBAM, and HJT and post their logs. If you're not able to install HJT, try this link. http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...HiJackThis. exe Create a new folder on your C drive. C:\HiJackThis\ and save HiJackThis.exe in that folder, post a HJT log. Also, kick yourself for using the worst anti virus out there. Quote:...

1. Use the code tag so that the formatting is preserved. 2. As this is homework, I'm not going to just tell you the few errors I found. What errors are you getting? Do you have any idea what they might be pointing you towards?

Someone else will have to let you know if you need to do anything more to get rid of it but the reason you can't connect to the web is that both your browsers have been redirected to a proxy server (127.0.0.1). Go to Internet explorer>properties>connections>LAN settings and uncheck the proxy box.
