It should be a 4R70W in your truck and they are a good transmission with few problems. Are you positive it is slipping? If it is you should have a
check engine light on and the OD light in the dash or on the end of the shifter should be flashing. Can you pull the codes from the pcm and let me know what they are.

"Liquid mechanic" is what I call these kind of fixes. Just get another radiator. If it plugs the leak it's also plugging the rest of the radiator, it's not like it"knows" only to plug the leak and leave the rest alone.
