Nope, no 9-10k runs here. Only 7500, but all my efforts at making power up there are futile on LH2.4 with the stock intake manifold. We'll see what megasquirt brings.

Quick torque question

why? What kind of goal do you want out of the car? It doesn't really take all that much to get good power out of these engines, if you can Do stuff yourself for 2-4k$(USD) you can make 300-350+whp.

Both cylinder heads have the same size ports, valves, and same size combustion chambers. The only difference is one is setup for kjet and the other is setup for LH. The B cam in the B21F head is the best cam out of that selection. Although if the B23F head is a 398 version it is supposed to be a better casting than the earlier one. The head type number is between and above exhaust ports 2 and 3 and you go by the last three digits of the number...

Because I know that the auto trans from the jap sports cars get sold dirt cheep here from the importers because everyone wants a manual.

Personally, if you want to be able to make 300+whp@12psi you will be spending a ton of $ on head work and other goodies and I just do not see a lightly worked kind of engine making that kind of hp @ that low of boost.
Otherwise I can tell you from my 300whp car (@20psi mind you) I saw a peak of some 326ft lb's torque.
And low end torque depends on your setup . . as in what cam, what turbo, ...

You should ask the guys over on Volvospeed.
I think that you should really be thinking about buying those rods.
850's really suck for modifying, unless you have a lot of money.
Even with a fully built motor, you will probably never get past 280whp.

Wow dude, a little punctuation would make that 10 times more readable....
Yes, it's a straight bolt-in, though the tone ring for the ABS will probably be different. Someone here should be able to tell you details on that.
940T's should have it, possibly some 7xxT's. A quick way to check (if you haven't already searched and found the how to ID thread) is a quick jerk backwards of one wheel ...

No idea about in Europe, but there are a few people here in the States that sell them at very reasonable prices. RSI is the only one I have a link for off the top.

Maybe nobody. I don't think anybody has made a business out of bringing
older European Volvo parts to the US. But you can talk to some of the UK or
other used parts dealers and see if they will ship one.

Sounds good but if your car is lh.2.4 it will already have a 016 AMM. Are the green tops from a FWD turbo car or a RWD turbo car?

rwd or fwd for your car?
rwd is easy, slicks, race gas, no exhaust, no line on turbo, some c16 and a 125 shot of nitrous, expect some 10-30 passes out of the auto
Either way he will kill you trap speed will kill you

You don't need it as long as you keep the boost low and detonation at bay.
It's a nice thing to have though.

The problem with a project like this is that if you have to ask, it's probably beyond your abilities.
Is it doable? Yes.
Is it feasible for you? I have no clue.

the cars our motors came in don't suck.
also, iron heads ftl. i know you can get al ones, but even the big power ford guys put on volvo stuff anyway.
I would doubt it is more than coincidence, unless it has something to do with like FIA/governing bodies' regulations for a type of class that both makes competed in. But I was also under the impression that they didn't do ford 8v ohc stuff ...
