The problem is usally the E1 clutch seal as well as the acutal clutch packs , as the E1 clutch pack controls the forward gears and E2 does reverse you still have reverse gear , most gearbox specialists should be able to recon the box for you and fit modified bits so the fault does not reoccur . You will struggle to get the bits from Renault because most main dealers will not rebuild the boxes ...

d change would be to lower it an inch or two and remove the rear spoiler... but hey, it's not my car

i have a limited car selection to choose from as most of them have been shocking but to date the Caterham
Supersport i drove at a Slalom day thing was the best... or it might have just been that i got to seriously abuse someone elses car. my face hurt from grinning so much

Manns TR8 it had a 4HA on it

Had the same fault on my Citroen Dispatch, i looked at everything but couldnt find the cause. As it was still under waranty i let Citroen sort it (took them 2 weeks). Turned out to be a part of the wiring loom had broken
down. Bad as the van was only 2 years old.
