^ Happens to a lot of "underground" cultures. Some big-wig says "Here's a sub-cultural phenomenon that people would really love to watch from a safe distance" (i.e. from the other side of a movie screen). They put up a movie, a song, a website, whatever. It gets "dumbed down" so that average joe, who may not have been able to relate to the core of the culture can now appreciate...

Well I had a little fun this saturday night. put new radiator in my car and thought i would take it out (about 11:30 pm). Got in a little race with a wrx wagon, full of 17 year old kids driving moms car. 4 kids , he was weighted down but. We hit it twice from about 25 and i lifted about 70, i gave him a nice TD pull. Car was running good about 15 psi auto. Working my way up....

11 JAN 2010 Many of you are too young to realize 1. now is a great time to get a powerful (new) car and 2. the 80's were horrible in many ways concerning new cars, but the DSC (Dodge Shelby Charger), GLH, and other Shelby cars were some of the best 'power' available at that time. Besides a Buick Grand National, Mopar had the fastest cars of that era. The typical race competition of the ...

I used to have a little minivan, 94 mercury villager. My friend has a 1980-something corvette stingray. You can see the disparity. Anyway, one day i bet him that i could get from one stop sign to the other faster than he could. He agreed. I had my friend hide in the ditch with a floor jack. We were revving up our engines, ready to go. The vette's driver yelled "3...2...1...". On "2", my friend ...

Well, it's not a kill story for me, but it was certainly fun. I don't street race very much any more, but every now and then I like to scrap if the opportunity arises. Tonight was one of those nights! I am staying with a friend in Plant City, Fl and we were heading back to his house after a fun night in Tampa. I'd just merged on to I4 from I75 when I caught a look at a pretty clean de-...

Don’t Chase the DEA……. In the fall of 1987 I started back to college after a year hiatus. After getting my GI Bill worked out, I decided to buy a new car. Being a Mopar guy, I went to the Dodge dealer. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to choose from performance wise then. I test drove a Turbo Shadow. Yawn. I wasn’t really into trucks, and they were slow anyway. I reluctantly decided on a ‘...

Stealth RT/TT AWD vs SOHC 6g72 Duster- Video Followed him out of a parking lot. Tried a roll and he thought he won after 30 feet (I wasnt in boost). He probably thought he was racing a 100crankhp 4 cylinder. He tries to "ditch the slow car" at the onramp to show off to his girlfriend. I had to go 130 or so to catch up :P I was running 14psi earlier but locked up the ...

Even though I don't currently drive a turbo dodge, and haven't in the past. I see one in my near future. But I figured I'd share a few stories with you anyways. I used to drive a 1980 El Camino. It had a 305 with cam/intake/headers/exaust/carb/etc. done to it. Looked real nice, sounded mean. Had a nice shift kit in it too. Most of the people in my area are into rice. I lined that ...
