It almost has to show a code if the
check engine light comes on. Do you have any access to an OTC or DRB to check it with? Thats what I would start with and see what code pops up. Without knowing what the computer is seeing its just a guessing game.

Why bypass it when you should really just find the problem and fix it. If you bypass it and allow the turbo to boost higher than the engine is capable of you risk leaning out and melting pistons, knocking and blowing a hole in a piston, overboosting a nd wiping out a rod/bearing/crank ect.

FINALLY got my engine back from
the machine shop. i have to wait for a oil pump shaft seal to come in friday morning. than i can start building
