Another Towing Tundra Question

I agree with the 5lbs. I think it will help with the chucking on concrete roads. That alone would make me keep mine.

Using TPMS with travel trailer

I have a TPMS for my 5'er not the Pressure Pro, but it does give detailed info; current pressure, tire temp and such. Nice peace of mind being able to watch the tires from the cab of my truck.

I know at least one other member here on T.S has this system and my Dad bought one for his 2003 Tundra and travel trailer earlier this year. Having a TPMS for the trailer sure gives me peace of mind while on the road. This picture just captures where I have mine mounted while towing. It...

Actually there are a fair number pulling that range of load. The WP have to take rolaids if you are a couple pounds over, but its all good.
My rig is not as heavy as yours but I pull the mountains all the time, without issue.
I personally think you will be just fine.

I don't know if you can tie in an aftermarket system to your Tundra. My 01' Tundra is 'pre' mandated TPMS so I don't have a direct comparison. However, I bought an aftermarket (Pressure Pro) system for our 26' Outback in October of 2006 and love it! The information display module is just a little larger than a $1 bill and in my case, suction cups to the inside of the windshield on the ...

While it's generally agreed that a longer wheelbase helps with towing stability, I've never seen any specs on the issue.
We're towing a 30-footer with our Sequoia, the wheelbase of which is relatively short compared to the pickups that are the most common tow vehicles with this length of trailer. Now, any properly adjusted sway control device should minimize the effects of the tail wagging ...

i wouldnt worry too much about what some of them say! I owned a tundra and took all their harrasment, bought a f350 and now hear the same ones pick on ford....as though dodge is any better.
Bottom line its your truck, you pay for and you tow with it so if it makes you happy who cares.

Best way to find out is to test it. Have a buddy sit in the truck and put it into reverse while you hold a multimeter on the pin to a ground. If it gets a charge when he goes into R then it's already wired, if not...

I have a 2003 tundra v8 4x4 sr5 stepside with the trd off road package. I currently have 286/75-16 BF goodrich all-terrains and a rev-tek leveling kit on it. I got the leveling kit awhile ago so im not 100% sure. but I think its the 2 1/2 spacers in the front and 1 1/2 blocks in the rear. Had to lift it a little bit to get the new wheels and ...

I know nothing about the system you have, but everything in the system is 12V. So, maybe you can explain what you mean by voltage drop? By design, the drop across the activation terminals of a relay will be 12V ( high impedence / low current), and the drop across the switched side will be 12V when open and 0V (short) when closed. Maybe I misunderstood the question?
