My System Install...lots of pics...

This is a great thread for me since I am probably going to install Polk DB6501s up front but it would be even greater if I could see the pics! Any chance you could reactivate your photobucket account? Thanks so much, Wes

Those items listed will get you in the right direction. If you read the thread it says that the bags are the same size, shape, and part number in the no controls/controls wheels....

Check the stickies, I believe there are dash tutorials there. The front door speakers are 6x9 and the rears are 6.5. Adapters can be made for the fronts to switch them to 6.5's. The two dash speakers are located.... well, in the dash. You'll find them in the corners of the dash. Congrats on the new truck.

Just pray you never have a warranty issue. Several local customers here bought subs from them that went bad very quickly. The claimed it was abuse. One customer had his for less than a day and I know he was not abusing them as he is anal about everything. Even keeps the volume down while breaking in subs. Thats the only bad stuff I have heard about them.Everything else I have heard is really good.

Best Carpet Match for 2nd Gen?
Published (2009-12-02 23:58:00)
I was having the same problem and my good buddy gave me a good solution. Go to a salvage yard and get the carpet from a Toyota. If the color you have isn't Tundra specific it can be found in different models. I checked one pick-a-part and found the color I needed but it was more stained than I would like so I passed. I will look again soon, I want to cover my box and back wall where the back seat was. Its work but I am convinced when...

Looks like a great install. I am thinking about changing out my speakers pretty soon but haven't really done it before. I already changed the head unit to a pioneer D3 with ipod and bluetooth but the stock speakers definitely don't do it justice. bbolton I was wondering where you bought most of your equipment and if you don't mind a rough estimate on how much this system cost minus the ...

After looking at this for awhile, the Crutchfield carpet looks to be by far the best option for the amount of carpet. If I screw something up (likely) then I will have more than enough carpet to cover the box again. I will also have enough to cover my amp rack and anything else extra I decide to. Seems like I answered my own thread, although I'm still open to other options. Thanks so ...

There are a few wiring diagrams floating around here somewhere. A quick search should dig something up. Im in DeBary, if you wanna bring it over one weekend, I'd be glad to help you tear the center console out.... its really easy.

Noleguy92 I have a pair of fosgate 8" subs. But I bought them back in '02 when the enclosure first came out. They still sound good. The Jl Audios that Onepremiere has are good as well. It has been awhile since I messed with car audio but you really can't go wrong with either one. I am sure there are other brands that are not as pricey but i would suggest hit up a couple of car audio shops...

If you are running an amp, run new wires to all your speakers. RCA connections from your head to amps are simple. From the amp to speakers get some real audio cable and use plenty of wd40 when you snake them through the rubber hoses that goes from the truck to the doors. You will need some power cable to run from the battery to your amp. I think I used about 14ft of 0 guage, but 4 guage will do...
