Wheel Adapters/Spacers
Published (2009-12-20 04:05:00)
I originally thought about getting them when I still had my stock wheels. I then made google my friend and read way too many bad things about them. Doesnt really sound like a good thing to do anyways and the research I did was enough to sway me to stay away from them. Thats just my opinion and preference though, everyone should do their own research and decide whats acceptable to them.

Highest setting with a 33x12.5 tire will look killer. Offset any where between 0 to +35 will work

Ok guys. I want the Terra Grapplers. My stock tire now is 255/70R18. I cant find the Grapplers in this size. What size will fit on my stock rim and also look good? Keep in mind I am thinking about a 3/1 lift so I have some room to negotiate in regards to tire size. Lemme know your opinions!

Wheels are Vision VTEC Raptors 18" x 9-1/2" w/ +25mm offset Tires are Nitto Terra Grapplers LT295/70 R18 Toytec 3/1 lift Front mud flaps and forward wheel well liners had to be removed. LOVE the stance. Although the Terra Grapplers are AT's, they do whine a little and are pretty stiff. Thanks again for posting up - your comments and observations are what led me to make this decision.

I've got the same issue...been watching tundra talk to see if something is going to pop out at me. I just had the Toytec 3/1 lift installed on Friday. I am going to go with the BFG 285/75/18 AT, but haven't decided on the rim yet. I'm thinking half black/half chrome....I want it to look good and I don't want to make a bad decision.

How about some more info like what kind of wheels are you running, stock or aftermarket? offset? Most likely replacing the uca with something like the camburg ball-joint uca would help you and not break the bank. Oh Id definitely stay away from wheel spacers, they are bad news, especially since youre already running large tires. Wouldnt catch me putting those on my rig.

This is funny, I ran into the EXACT same thing with my Cooper STTs. I originally ordered the one's that are true dimesion just over 33 tall and 13 inch wide. I decided they would be too wide and ordered ones that are about the exact same height but were only 11 wide. Turns out less rubber equals more $$$. Even the guy at the tire desk was confused. They think it was maybe the diffrence in tow ...
