Oh, that's brilliant. Multiple carriers in the same building? Sounds like freight theft waiting to happen.

Yep, probably happening system-wide. I don't know how many customers we're losing, but I do know of one for sure. My wife's company ships with us, and I've seen the freight bills, they've been giving us 100-125k worth of business a month. But, they close at 4:30 and we can't seem to get a driver there until after 6, or 7, even as late as 8pm So, when asked for advice on the matter, I told them to ship on another...

Yep route ya out with 15-20 deliveries and want ya to try and peddle that along with your pick-ups. And not get ya out of the barn before 9:00am. Ya think they have a clue about what they are doing???? What amazes me is how they pound the good drivers that bust their azz and let the clock suckers off the hook by giving them half the amount of stops.

What you need to do is bring returns back, try to do at least one a day.Missed pick-ups do not show up on paper, only missed deliveries show up and TM has to answer for them. Before you are done delivering, start picking up your early closers. Consult with dispatch so they know why you need to get to pick-up before they close.Don't go to delivery until they are closed, and call it in. I've already ...

Well, I'd say that unless we hear something to the contrary, we'll be getting them same as always. If we weren't, I'd think we'd have heard by now.
Rumor has it that the Big Dogs from WIL are a coming to visit next week, I'll ask if I see 'em.

WOW! That happened so fast it almost looked like he did it on purpose, a suicide or something. The drivers of those trucks had no time at all to react. Unbelievable!

Untie the hands of the terminal managers, and let them run their terminals, and take care of our customers, like we used to...
Become customer driven, and not driven by a bunch of numbers on a dispatchers computer screen...
Give back the personal days that employee's had not used this year...That was just "WRONG" to take those days from employee's who had not used them this year...

Rumor has it HAG moved to a place that's about 10 times bigger. Wonder what that's about with all these other places closing?

We have the best drivers in the industry (whats left of them). I'm amazed at what you guys/gals have to do on a daily basis !!! By far one of the more difficult jobs to do both mentally and physically and we just seem to pile more and more on the position every week. My hats off to ALL drivers...I commend you all for your hard work.

You seem to be going through what we went through about 6-9 months ago. Don't get so upset, miles play a factor in your stop per hour numbers,at 300 miles you should be doing about .8 stops per hour. There is a list of miles and what your stop per hour should be. Also, you need to call in any delay of more than 15 minutes to your dispatcher,so he can write it in on the detail next to the company ...
