The shippers have been informed what will happen if any of the trucking companies competing in the price wars go out of business. One or more of the surviving truckers would raise the prices. So here is the real question ... what is the shipper willing to do to keep the prices low? The shippers are in control ... the truckers are not.

No one is sinking YRC but the economy,
My opinion is that YRC dragged their feet far too long to merge the two companies, there where two terminals , two terminal managers two or more everything in too many cities, Roadway staff was competing for Yellow freight and they both were the same company.. I point the finger at the company, I think either one of them could have survived separately and ...

Yeah, they are cutting the non-union jobs. Those who voted Yes, are the non-union jobs. 18 months of no pay in pension, is a non-union job. I told you people you didn't know what you would be voting Yes too. Now all of you are at YRC's mercy. Now cuff those balls/chains back-around your ankles, and get back to work. Trust your union. They will let you know when they need you, again.

Bob Davidson is 62 years old and normal age for ABF president to retire.
