And yes they do "work"......Simple clean and tunes to "noise toys",installs including custom mounts,SWR settings..........

I almost forgot, I am not planning on running any
amplifiers or anything as of yet this CB is in my POV. I did find a CB shop near me which is great. But I am hoping to save some money before I do any other mods.

am fm are the same frequecies(channels for cb). They simply differnent modes of transmission. These are not technically CB radios. They are marketed as amature equipment but are easily modified to include 11 meters. This makes them unable to be ceritfied by the FCC and are actually not leagal for use without a

Higher the coil the better the performance, the higher the coil the more easily damaged as well though

Low watts into the amp and high watts out! and be 100% sure that the antenna setup is correct and that the SWR is as low as possible or it will reflect that
juiced up power right back to your rig (CB and Amp) and you will have a fried system. Also I would consider if you have to cash to pick up a Cobra 29 they make some of the finest radios for runnin fire in the wire.. Oh yeah they sound great ...
