I have had my Galaxy 66 since 1999 and it has only been in the shop once, I do miss my old Connex 3300. I had so many compliments on it's loud and clear audio.

....ok now you got that radio...lets talk antennas ,coax, and where you mount them..left mirror.. right...behind the cab... front ,back. I seem to have better"ears" when the antenna was on the left hand mirror ... The old cb shop at ex 10 in pa(mini skirt junction ) on 81 used to sell a type of coax that had a clear outer shell and seemed a bit heavier guage.. yup 18 ft of the stuff,5.5 Francis, well grounded mount and mounted...

The"upper" channels are not those above channel 23 but, I would take the radio just because it works and is now probably a collectors item.

Try Dennis @ Canyonville CB. He's between the Casino and the next exit north on the east side of the freeway. He has a big parking area and a drop box for after hours. He has worked on my radios and many of my coworkers for years. PM for his number.

see what the amp draw is on those posts, usually 30 amps but check to see and then check to see how much power on average the radio pulls. you should be fine with a 200 watt radio though. P.S. it won't be clean power however

I almost forgot, I am not planning on running any amplifiers or anything as of yet this CB is in my POV. I did find a CB shop near me which is great. But I am hoping to save some money before I do any other mods. -Joe
