Basically, I tied my radio to the cradle where the ashtray used to sit. It helps that my radio (Radio Shack trc-484) is pretty small, since I...

I have a Cobra 19 Ultra III with a 102" whip antenna that is grounded. I want to keep it legal as it is not wise to mess with the pigs. I have a magnet mount that I can attach the 102" but I can't drive down the road with it because it will fall over.

I have a couple of CBs that I picked up for not too much. I put one in my car, its the Cobra 19 Ultra III. I haven't messed with it much and I have the recommended antenna from Cobra(I think its the HG A1500 model its about 3ft. tall). I have a SWR from radio shack too. If anyone would be so kind as to walk me through the basic technical concepts that I am overlooking, I'd be most appreciative....

Can the dashboard terminals on a Sterling daycab handle. I just bought a Connex 4600 Turbo and am wondering if I HAVE to hook it up directly to the battery? Since I bought this radii it seems like I'm going to do more slipseating. If they won't handle the radio at full power (approx 200 watts) can I just turn the RF gain down some on the radio? or is it possible to hook to power from an aux ...

I'm wanting to make the mobile rig in my four-wheeler more potent, but I'm not sure I can do it without frying the radio's innards. The radio is a late '80s/early '90s Realistic (Radio Shack) TRC...I think a TRC-484 but I can't remember the model number for sure. Anyway, if you get to searching for it, I can tell you the most unusual features: The mic plug looks like your home phone (plastic ...
