Temp agencies?
Published (2009-12-22 18:30:00)
Nothing wrong with temp agencys. The best job I ever had was through a temp agency. It started out as fill in for 1 week vacation. Turned into a 10 year gig, at which time I quit. Pay is a little less than normal, the employer is charged a premium rate for not having to process in a new hire. Advantages are you have work if you get a good recomendation from the employer you worked for. You don't have to be top notch, so to speak, because...

Anyone kinda freaked out or just don't like them. Granted my experience is with bucket trucks and what would be a class b truck until I pulled backhoes and poles, but anyways. The company I got my CDL's thru had all manual trucks, mostly 7 speeds or 5 speeds with a 2 speed axle. Well I go to take my road test, and they shove me in this automatic flat bed truck, stick a 40 foot pole trailer on it...

I have written in the past that I work for Werner and the time has come to think about moving on. How do I deal with the low pay they shove at us? I barely make enough to cover the groceries I carry on my truck, let alone pay my bills.
Due to the money problems, I find myself dealing with huge amount of discontent at honey over money and time and not being compensated at a decebt level....

Is the benefits as good as people are saying .?
I will be starting school soon and then off to drivers training.
Are the roomies bad people and should I be cautious.?
This is the biggest step in my life since being laid off working for 21yrs.
Just a little apprehensive.

As a law school drop out and a self defenses teacher who is versed on the laws of pepper spray if a man/woman attacks you and you spray them it is not your foult if they die you had reasonable cause to believe that the may kill you (well maybe not too tall i wouldn't attack you if you were blind and only had one arm ) so if they attack you fight and fight hard there not afraid to kill you so ...

I've been at a stoplight on a hill and seen were trucks roll back before they are able to pull forward. Is there a way to prevent this when you are loaded to the hilt 80,000lbs. Thanks

I have a fairly high IQ and am college educated. However, I am not a real believer or fan of such tests and assumptions about IQ's and trying to measure ones intelligence.
I have a neighbor, who can't read or write, only has a 4th, maybe 6th grade education, but is one of the most amazing and intelligent persons I know. He can fix anything, build things and what he has accomplished in his ...

Get in the proper gear to hold you at safe speed before you need it. Do not mess around w/trying to downshift after beginning your decent. Things happen fast. In a few seconds you can be too fast to even get in the gear you were in. Then you are along for the ride. And you better hope there is runaway ramp. Slow and safe will keep you alive. And never plan on your speed w/Jakes. They can and ...
